Lega Lukakwongo masks (from the Rega or Warega tribe) – Wood masks features were rather stylistically carved with protruding mouths, eyes, and long straight noses. The entire front surface was covered with fine geometric incised designs and characterizes by the remains of a whitish substance (kaolin clay) on the facial surface. A black or brown fiber mantle was sewn around the bottom of the mask to create an appearance of a beard.
