As part of Project Origins, we have witnessed a gap of roles for women in artisanal mining areas. To begin to address this, we have set up a donor co-funded apprenticeship program where we train women on how to make jewelry from artisanally mined gold.

Our apprentices are equipped with technical skills, tools, and the ability to train other women in a collaborative manner, along with market access and the opportunity to develop their own sustainable small business.
